This is a good piece of writing as this child worked hard to include all of our key skills in their writing. In this pupil's work, speech has been punctuated correctly and dashes have been used to mark relative clauses. As well as this, the pupil has also tried to include an expanded noun phrase as well. Well done.

This is a great example of a piece of maths work because this pupil has made great progress within one lesson. Not only has this pupil self corrected and reflected on their work but they have also exceeded in their learning by moving onto next steps questions. Well done.

This work is beautiful because it has been laid out correctly. The digits are one per box and the margin and lines have been done with a ruler. The pupil has also addressed any mistakes they have made, they have gone on to address these and make progress in their learning.

I continue to be immensely proud of Emaan’s writing! By listening to the feedback given, working tirelessly and more importantly, having the desire to improve her writing, Emaan continues to make excellent progress! Even though she has a few niggly areas to improve on, I am more than confident that Emaan will continue to excel through pride and ambition. I love it – keep it up Emaan!

In year 5, we have been looking at a balanced argument. We focused on three skills which were, using a range of conjunctions, using colons to join clauses and using present perfect tense. The pupils discussed the language features of a balanced argument and watched a video clip about the three little pigs. The title of the argument was, should the three little pigs be jailed? The pupils balanced report consists of arguments for and against and summarising the report with a conclusion.

Farah’s work is outstanding because she has used brilliant personification, creating a vivid picture in the reader’s mind. She has also used adverbial phrases for how and has made very effective word choices, resulting in a gripping portrayal of ‘The Dream Giver.

I am proud of Tayyibah’s work as she has achieved the lesson objective and was able to move on to a challenge question. Her work is outstanding because her work is always well presented; she is always eager to move on and attempts to achieve gold by the end of the lesson.
