Action 3: Community Engagment

To use sports to increase engagement with the local community.

In 2024-2025, we aim to enhance community engagement by promoting sports, specifically through the establishment of parent netball and football teams. By creating these teams, we intend to foster a sense of camaraderie among parents, encouraging them to connect not only with one another but also with their children and the wider community. Our initiative will include organised training sessions, friendly matches, and community events, all designed to promote physical activity and teamwork. Additionally, we plan to host workshops focusing on the benefits of sports for families, emphasising health, well-being, and social connections. By nurturing a supportive environment, we hope to inspire ongoing participation and create lasting bonds within the community, ultimately leading to a more active and engaged population.
