'Everyone to Excel through Pride and Ambition'

At Montem Academy, we study all the major religions through our RE lessons and explore ancient religions through our history topics. Our teaching of Religious Education aims to support and extend the children's knowledge of Christianity and other world religions, such as Judaism, Islam, Hinduism, and Sikhism. The children investigate and reflect on different aspects of each religion every year.

Children explore religion through stories, creative writing, art, drama, and artefacts. We are committed to creating meaningful experiences for children at Montem Academy, so they will visit a range of places of worship to extend their investigations.

Pupils are taught Religious Education knowledge and skills across the school in a progressive manner, building on prior knowledge and understanding. This approach provides the pupils with the opportunity to compare religions and to identify and appreciate the similarities and differences between the different faiths.
